The designer has not designed the basement option at this time. However, the stairs would go where the mechanical is currently since that equipment would move to the basement.

Need to understand the stairs location to help with possible modifications around the laundry and/or pantry. Also would help to understand where the load bearing walls are in the basement or are they just assumed to follow the upstairs layout?
